Happy Guest-House

The Happy Guest-House

If your idea of a great way to relax after a big day rafting or canyoning, is to sit back, crack a beer and stoke up the fire for a barbeque, then The Happy Guest-House is the place for you. Nestled high on the mountain, affording great views of the Yoshino valley, with no neighbours for miles, this is about as far away from the bustle of city life as you can get in Japan. No car-noise or train noise here. The Guest-house is an old farmers house, that Teru, one of our friendly guides, has done up to provide great budget accommodation for our guests. Its BYO food and booze so don`t for get to stock up before you arrive. The place has a great little kitchen, with all the plates and utensils you might need for cooking up a storm… Nothing like a day on the water to work up an appetite. The water from the tap is mountain-fresh, so leave those bottles of water in the city. With the villagers, we make our own charcoal, and its another free “extra” service, to help make your barbeque taste even better.Back-Packer style accommodation with four seperate bedrooms. Mostly futon styled bedding, on tatami floors, its simplicity is its greatest charm.
Starting from 2500 yen for repeaters, 3000 yen for guests doing a HappyRaft tour, and 3500 yen for those guests wanting just to stay without doing a tour, The Happy Guest-House is a great place to come and relax.
