Why Choose Us?
Here are some of the things we think make HappyRaft the best rafting experience in Japan.
1. Friendly, helpful staff.
Our staff are all licensed, and trained to an international level. We have english and Japanese speakers on every trip.
2. The mighty Yoshino River.
The Koboke section is a world-class one-day rafting tour. With Big powerful rapids interspersed with crystal-clear pools and a great playspot.
3. Fresh-cooked bagels for lunch.
Fresh out of the oven , baked daily, the Happy Bagel picnic lunch on the side of the river is a rafters delight. We cut and butter the fresh bagels, and you fill them up with the meats and salads you like. Find a great spot to eat your lunch and soak up the best view on the river looking up the Koboke canyon.
4. Great Spring/Fall and Weekday Prices.
We have great specials off-peak starting from ¥5500 for Half-day Rafting Trips.
¥100 00 for One-day trips with the awesome lunch!
5. The Best Guest-house in Japan.
And maybe the cheapest… From ¥3000 for rafters. Its got a great kitchen with everything you need. Also barbeques and charcoal available (and popular).
Private rooms for groups and singles.

ETC
Great News for everybody with a car and an ETC machine.
From April 2009, Coming over the bridge onto Shikoku Island and taking the highway to HappyRaft has become a whole lot cheaper. One trick to take advantage of this system is to adjust your route plan a bit. Before we recommended coming from Osaka/Kobe to go via Tokushima or change highways at Aizumi/Itano getting off at Ikawa-Ikeda. Now with the new ETC discounts in place on weekends its better to follow the Takamatsu expressway around through Kawanoe junction the down the Kochi expressway getting off at Otoyo-Interchange. This may add 10-15 minutes to your journey but can save you 1000 yen.
Take advantage of these specials and come and see us this weekend.
Boys drop the falls
Check out the size of this waterfall. This is Satoshi - one of 3 kayakers from HappyRaft to paddle the falls that day.
New HappyRaft video posted
