As of March 1st, our Yoshino River rafting season has officially begun!
After a quiet winter, the river is slowly beginning to feel the touch of spring.
The Yoshino River, which runs through Tokushima and Kochi prefectures, is known as one of Japan’s premier rafting destinations.
In 2026, we will continue to host tours with our motto:
“Play together, enjoy together with every guest who joins us,” while prioritizing safety and comfort.
Rafting in the crisp spring air offers a different atmosphere from the busy summer season — a calmer, more relaxed experience on the river.
What is Yoshino River Rafting?
The Yoshino River is one of the best rafting spots in Japan.
The Koboke area in particular is famous for combining thrilling rapids with breathtaking scenery.
Today’s Koboke Long Rafting Tour was held in this very area.
- Crystal-clear mountain water
- Dynamic rapid sections
- Surrounded by the beautiful Shikoku Mountains
These are just a few of the reasons why both first-time visitors and returning guests choose to raft here.
Can You Go Rafting from March?
We are often asked, “Isn’t it still cold?”
Yes, we begin operating in March.
However, to be honest, it is not as comfortable as mid-summer.
In spring, the Yoshino River offers:
- Clear air and beautifully transparent water
- Fewer crowds and a more private, relaxed atmosphere
The water temperature is around 10°C (50°F), and the air temperature varies depending on the weather.
Because conditions are still cool, we provide thermal protection such as wetsuits during the tour.
Even so, most guests still enjoy getting into the river!
Spring is a great season for those who appreciate a quieter river and a peaceful natural atmosphere.
Booking Information
Rafting tours, packrafting, and custom tours on the Yoshino River (Tokushima/Kochi area) are available from March through October.
From July to September, we also offer canyoning tours and combo tours.
Golden Week, summer vacation, and the Obon holiday period are especially popular, so we recommend booking early.
